Beamworx - Raw Processing

Optional AutoClean module for taking raw multibeam files and turning them into survey results on the project datum, without a long setup. Vessel and system geometry, offsets, latencies and sound-velocity profiles are read from the raw records and can be changed before the run. The engine is multi-threaded and uses full launch-angle geometry and ray tracing so footprints stay accurate. The interface is kept small so it can be used on board after a short briefing.

Raw types include Kongsberg ALL and KMALL, XTF, Hypack HSX, Teledyne PDS, Reson S7K, WASSP, GeoSwath RDF, EdgeTech JSF and BeamworX RAW from NavAQ. Other formats can be added on request.

A survey-configuration editor sets which sensors are used, how height is taken (RTK or tide), SVP handling and depth gates. Geodesy covers the path from GNSS to the survey grid, including grid shifts, geoid models and WKT / EPSG / Proj4.

Instead of the position and motion stored in the raw file, a post-processed track can be applied (for example SBET or ASCII). Raw navigation can also be pulled out, edited by hand or with automatic tools, and saved as a new track — useful when GNSS drops out, for instance under a bridge.

Raw Processing is not a separate application. It is an add-on inside AutoClean, licensed on a yearly subscription (in addition to AutoClean). Supplied by GBT.
