Our CSV (Pippo) embodies GBT’s innovative spirit. This compact catamaran is highly maneuverable and easily transportable. With a shallow draft of just 0.4 meters, it is ideal for surveys in extremely shallow waters.
The survey can be managed from the shore by a powerful radio-wireless link that allows the operator onshore to control the systems (Ground Control Station).
Survey equipment are pre-calibrated to allow the immediate start of data collection with no waste of time. Also, the configuration allows to simultaneously collect data from multiple sensors such as GeoSwath 4R (for bathymetry and side-scan sonar surveys), NORBIT WINGHEAD i77h/B41 multibeam system, KONGSBERG GeoPulse chirp sub-bottom profiler, DeepWater Exploration HD Camera, G882 Geometrics magnetometer and NORBIT iLIDAR.

PIPPO CSV has all the authorizations of the Italian Ministry of Transport, included RINA® certifications, for the navigation up to 3 nautical miles from the coast.
