Baywei M9 high-end shallow-water multibeam with integrated GNSS/INS (Applanix AP+ 18). 512 beams, 1° × 1°, swath up to 140°, frequency 200–550 kHz, ping rate 50 Hz. Range >200 m, range accuracy <10 mm. Roll stabilisation. Bathymetry and sidescan; water column and snippets optional. Works with QINSy, HYPACK, BeamworX and SonarWiz (s7k).

The M9 is the top Baywei system: more beams and a wider swath than the M7, with frequency agility and a tightly coupled INS in the sonar (GNSS on the topside). It mobilises on small manned boats and USVs. Setup is through the GUI and Baywei’s Data Collection Tool (DCT).
